As a student at University of Southern Denmark, you can use the different services of SDU RIO (Research & Innovation Organisation). SDU RIO supports the interaction between research, education, business sector and the public sector.
SDU Entrepreneurship Labs is the collective name of the hubs across campuses. There are activities in Odense, Kolding and Sønderborg as well as in Esbjerg and Slagelse. The incubators are only open to students at SDU.
At Cortex Lab you as a student entrepreneur can participate in activities that can inspire and qualify your entrepreneurial ambitions, for instance workshops, inspirational events and networking events. You also have access to workshop and meeting facilities, design and prototype facilities such as 3D printers.
Additionally, you have the possibility to live together with other entrepreneurs with relation to Cortex Lab in ”Cortex Floor” at the Odense Campus House, which is SDU's student hall of residence in Odense.
SDU Makerlab is a prototype workshop where student entrepreneurs without costs can experiment with 3D print, textile work, soldering and much more. SDU Makerlab is placed in Pakhuset (Syddanske Forskerparker) in Kolding. As a student in SDU MakerLab, you have access to the same services and programmes as in SDU Cortex Lab.
Startup Alsion is an incubator with a joint physical space across the institution of EASV (Business Academy Southwest) and SDU. Sønderborg Iværksætterservice (services for entrepreneurs) is also part of the collaboration. The offers and programmes are the same as at SDU Cortex in Odense.
